I am not sure if I can help, but my dad's name was Johnie Marion Stinson; he was born June 13, 1932 in Fort Lawn (Chester County) South Carolina; and yes we are of African-American heritage. He relocated in Detroit MI as did many of the Stinson's from that area. We are also located in the New York/Pennsylvania area. He passed on July 29, 2005.
