Greetings to all. I hope someone may perhaps help me out of confusion. My g-grandfather William Henry Stil(l)well b.~1869 NC. Having trouble identifing his father. The 1880 census shows two possibles; John Stilwell b.~1835 living in Morning Star, Mecklenburg County, NC or John Stillwell b.~1845 living in Ironton, Lincoln County, NC.
Some of William's children chose to drop an "L", some didn't. I've chosen "LL" "LL". Any help or advise would be a big help. If I can help any, please e-mail. Live in Rowan County, NC
