My grandfather Marshall William Still was born in Philadelphia in 1863, and my grandmother's name was Lydia Merriam Weatherby. My great-father's name was Quincy A. Still, and my great-grandmother's name was Susan Steelman. I believe Quincy and Susan may have been married in New Jersey.
My information is very limited, as Dad didn't talk very much of the past, other than to say they were Pennyslvania Dutch. He or someone mentioned that if you want to know anything of the Still family, read the Captives of Abbs Valley. And we are supposed to be related to the Andrew Taylor Still family somehow. I have found nothing that supports that. In fact it's hard to find anything about these Stills, but I'll keep looking, and if I find anything on John A. Still that has a tie with Pennyslvania I will let you know. I hope you will do the same.
My father's sister mentioned at one time, after dad has passed away, that our family came from England.
