Good news for descendants of Arthur Stiles out there, as well as Clara, Elmer or Wilfred I. Stiles.

I have photos which I cross referenced with other pictures here and was able to positively identify Arthur Stiles, Elmer Stiles, a photo of Clara Stiles. Also I was able to verify photos of young Wilfred I. Stiles with Clara Potter Stiles and Wilfred I. Stiles in a picture alone from the same time period, 2 tintypes in Clara and Wilfred's case.

I also have two photos of Frank I. Stiles which have already been identified. (one by Frank himself on the back and one by Frances Mccoll)

Clara in about 1891, with a cross reference to photo of grandson Wilfred Harry from same photo studio, in THIS CASE, Wilson Studio at 389 State Street in Chicago. Photo of grandson "Harry Stiles" was taken in 1891 so I am guessing by Clara's age that it is the same year if not even possibly the same day. She looks as if she could be 51. (A good looking 51 if I don't say so myself)

Arthur in his police uniform has another photo in our collection identified as "Arthur J. Stiles at 43 years, "Summer of 1911, Captain West Park Police Chicago, Ill."

The other policeman in same photo collection must be Elmer Alonzo Stiles (1900 Fc identifies both as cops in Chicago). Elmer's photo and Arthurs do not have any studio identification.

I have a baby photo of Elmer taken in MN which resembles the older Elmer as well as him having been the "other policeman in our Chicago family". All photos of Elmer that I have are in his police uniform. He doesn't look at all like his brother, Arthur.

I have not been able to substatiate whom the old man in the other photo is of. I have just one of these pictures, but by his age, the type of photo and the group of photos it was stored it I have to consider it might be Benjamin L. Stiles.

Will work on confirming that.
