Hi, Debbie,
Please tell me more about the John mentioned in Valentine Stickel's will. Do you know of his birth and death dates, marriage information? I looked at some family trees for Valentine Stickel but did not find any birth and death dates for his son John. Why do you feel that my John and this John are not the same person? Do you know of his children?
My John was born and died in Pennsylvania about 1800 (he was age 50 years on the 1850 census). After his death, his wife Catherine and some of their children moved to Ohio. My Jacob moved to Michigan.
The reason I felt my John might be the son of Valentine is more from analyzing the other Johns who were living in the same area and would be about the same age. Lebanon County where John is living in 1850 was formed from Lancaster County as was York County. So my John and Valentine lived in the same area. My John's age seems to fall in line with the siblings whose birth dates were either known or estimated.
I tried to find more information about the John mentioned in Valentine's will but could find nothing that separated him from my John yet I found nothing to connect the two.
How do you think my John is connected to a Joseph? This would be new to me in my research.
I really would like to know more about the John in Valentine's will.
Could you help me know more about that John?
