Hello John,

My name is Debbie Stickel Brown and I am also a relative of yours and know quite a bit about this line of Stickels as I am a direct descendant of Peter and Hannah. I have recieved my Illinois PRAIRIE PIONEER CERTIFICATE. And am in the process of proving Valentine Stickle of Conewago, Pa is Peter's father. And that he is a Revolutionary war Patriot to become a member of the DAR. I have quite an extensive collection of documents from various genealogical repositories in the Pennsylvania area. I just can't find a birth cert. for Peter or a death Cert or probate for Valentine. I have Valentine's land doc's and Will. I can't find Peter's Death Cert. because he died in 1876 and the Illinois places I've looked don't go back that far, only to 1877. I have a picture that you might find interesting and if you go to Craycroft and Bresnan Genealogy Pages you will find some of these documents online. I'm sure Bob would enjoy your visit.
Oh my gosh, I just realized something else that is in Valentines Will, here's the quote,
"I give and bequeath to my daughter Betsy intermarried with John McDonnel the sum of two Dollars and my reason for not giving her more is that I have paid and advanced on account of her said Husband more than would have been her equal share of all my Estate."
Bob Craycroft transcribed the will. I have a copy of the untranscribed somewhere in this comp., but if you go to Bob's website, you can see it there.

I anticipate you might have more of my puzzle pieces.

Look forward to hearing from you,
Debbie
