Thanks for your info. I don't know a George
but I know that Sam had four brothers, I don't know their names. They came from around
Tupelo so I understand. I can't seem to find
Sam and wife Emma (Emily?) with their chilren
or some of them at least any where in Miss.
If it helps, I have the childrens names of
Samuel and Emma, he may have been James
Samuel Stewart. Or, could have been Steward
I have heard people in my family pronounce
it both ways, although it is spelled with
a "T".
