David Stewart would have been 11 years old in 1810. The 1810 census shows only
five families named Stuart, Stewart, or Steward in Montgomery County. Three of
these had no children in the right age group for David. James Stewart had four
in the 10 to 16 male listing. Levi Steward had two in this group. Can not
prove which is family of David Stewart, but James family seems more likely. No
information on names of other children in the family. No information on Levi.

David and his second wife, Mary (MCFARLAND) were killed in 1871 by a runaway
horse. They were returning from church to their farm near Louisville in
Lincoln County, Missouri. They, and many others of the Stewart family, are
buried in the family cemetary. Others who married into the family are also
buried there.
