AT LAST some sanity on this issue. I descend from Eli and Susannah's son, JAMES A. STEWART. LOGIC tells us a blood connection must have been there between Elisha & Molly to Susannah, but doing the math and other "MISSING" facts says she is NOT a daughter. Even the great ESTES researcher, FLOYD RATZ, was mystified by this missing link. I do not know, but sure wish I did. I get down to that area a couple of times a year. I've seen fathers like Littlebury and Bird mentioned but they do not check out as far as I see. ANYONE out there who might have even the slightest of clues? What about Emily Jane Estes? Seems to also be a part of the same MYSTERY. THANKS Anne for your post.

5/20/1844, Estill co., KY Court Records, book F, page 201: " On the motion of Emily ESTES and it appearing to the satisfaction of the court, that she (Emily Jane ESTES) is 14 years of age, ordered that Eli (Elihu) STEWART be appointed her guardian, whereupon he (Elihu) entered into an acknowledged bond in the penalty of $100 and with James Cole and R.
