Thomas Stewart of Hancock VA abt. 1752

Hello,
I've traced one of my lines to Thomas Stewart of Hancock County VA (now WVA). He is said to have been born in 1752. He was married, I don't know to who, and had at least 7 children (Joshua, William, Rachel, Catherine, Alexander, Margaret and Hannah). I also know that he and his family moved a bit, as some of their children were born in Beaver Co. PA.
These Stewarts eventually settled in OH. Thomas is said to be a Revolutionary War soldier, and that he was the first White settler in the Portage/Summit Co. area. He was, unfortunately, a squatter but resolved this by marrying his son Joshua into the legal land owners family, the Walkers. Shortly after coming to OH in the 1798-1802 timeframe, he disappears from census records, presumably either dying or returning to PA or VA.
If anyone has any solid information, it would be greatly appreciated.

Steve
