Nell,
So you are related to Daniel Boone, I did not know that. The Stewarts from PA are my husband's side, the actor Jimmy Stewart was from Indiana Co. Our Fleming group lived near those Stewarts but it was a different group that are married to them.

Now my possible Stewarts came from Person Co., NC. A mixed Native American group with the surnames Shepherd, Epps, Stewart, Johnson, Talley, there are others I just can't think of. My 2 great grandparents were John Shepherd and Temperance Epps born early 1800's. The story goes that this group came from the settlers of the "Lost Colony" and Native Americans.

One more for you, a niece of my 3 great grandmother Nanny (Gordon) Floyd was Margaret Elder. Margaret was suppose to marry Davey Crockett but changed her mind at the last minute and married his cousin David Crockett instead. The marriage license was found in TN where it was taken out but not used by Davey.

We have moved in but still unpacking.

Kay
