First off, should correct myself, James R. Stewart and William Brumley Brent came from Madison COunty Tennessee, not the mistaken Jackson. Family lore has it that the Stewart(d)s spent some time in Ohio. There is an old Coffee Grinder passed down in the family that supposedly comes from the Ohio period. Charles Labon Stewart was born in the late 1820's to early 1830's, died as a result of wounds received at Shiloh circa 1872 buried in Loneoake? Ark, spent time in Texas, Tennessee and Arkansas that I know of. Somewhere in this generation our name started being shown as Steward not Stewart.
