Hi,
I have also found the outer family lines difficult to trace, fact is, if the line is not close to the actual running Royal line, little is written on them, I was lucky enough to follow to a point but few of them have dates attached making it harder to say who was father to who. I have traced from Robert I through to James Stewart 1st of Ladywell, with all names provided by Stewart Society but little on dates.
