Does anyone have information about Lemuel Stewart,
born 1799 in North Carolina and died in 1868 in Stoddard Co., Missouri? He married Mary Amanda Cantrell in 1832 in Missouri. My g-grandpa was living with Amanda Stewart and family in the 1870 census in Duck Creek, Stoddard Co., Missouri. His name was Thomas Pierce. He had been orphaned. I'm just hoping to find a connection. Maybe,
the Stewart's and the Pierce's were related. Or, maybe, the Pierce's and the Cantrell's were related. Also, there
is a possibility that Thomas Pierce's mother was a Myers
(her maiden name). I know the Myers and the Norrids were related. The Presley Norrid family took in Chas. Pierce
--I think this could have been Thomas Pierce's brother.
