I have been doing some research on my late Mother-in-law's family, the Stewarts and Adamsons. Her younger sister was Cora Paxton Stewart who lived in Atlanta.I did a search on that name and came up with this posting.
This particular family has been omitted quite a bit because of their Mother's given name: Joseph Anna Adamson.Joseph Anna Adamson married Newton Crawford Stewart and they moved to Arkansas somewhere around 1895, when the land patent was filed in Montgomery County there.Newton died in Arkansas in 1896, when my Mother-in-law was 8 years old and they moved back to Lineville, Alabama. They are on the 1900 census there in Clay County AL.
I would love to know more about the Stewart/Adamson families.
