My line is John Jr and his wife Eleanor Sutton to whom he was married in 1840. Family history in my direct line says that John Jr was first married to "a Taylor" then to "Mam" Sutton. I believe that the marriage to Sally Kinchen was actually with John Sr. who would have been 61 years old at the time. I have no proof of this at all and I suppose it's possible that John Jr. married Sally Kinchen and their children together were grown by the time of the 1850 census. The oldest child shown then was Seburn who was 17. Again, family history says that Seborn was the child of the marriage to ?Taylor.

Marriage records show that a John J (possibly Jasper) Stewart married Rachel Morgan in 1833 in Lawrence Co., MS, and then married Mary M. White in 1851 also in Lawrence Co, MS. (A John Jasper Stewart is buried in Mount Olive Cemetery near Bogue Chitto, MS in Lawrence Co.) John Sr. had to have been born in 1758 if he was 82 in 1840 when he was listed in the Pensioners List in the househould of William Sasser.
