I have been trying to find any information regarding my great-grandmother and have been unable to do so.Her name was Mary E. (maiden name Stewart/Stuart/Steward - married name Vaughn). She married George A Vaughn who was born in Franklin County, Tennessee and worked for the railroad. I finally found his grave about a month ago in Nashville, TN, but have been told by older relatives that all they have ever heard was that Mary was buried in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I think her birth year was around 1856 (not really sure). She died in 1899 when her youngest son (my grandfather) was 3 years old. The three children (Willie, Harry, and Bessie Vaughn) were placed in an orphanage in Kentucky until their father George re-married. I am lost! I am still looking through roll after roll of microfilm in Tennessee to see if she died here. Any help, or suggestions will be appreciated.
