I think that William STEVENS(1719-1781) could have married Miss LAHAUNE.
On 20 Nov 1746/7 a Jos LAHAUNE 200 acs Craven Co.NC on Branch of Fallin Creek William STEVENS land at a place Thunder Swamp S. side Neuse Rive.
William STEVENS (1719-1781)and his first wife named a daughter Laruhama/Lockamah/Laruham in 1766 d. 1797 Sampson Co., NC. Now, Douglas Powell married one of William STEVENS (1719-1781) daughters first name unknown. Douglas POWELL moved to the area of what is now Robeson Co., NC. One of his daughter LoraHamey (spelling of name was hard to read on the deed)married Joel BIRD (1774-bet 1816-1820).
When I came across the abstracted deed of Jos. LAHAUNE I thought it was possible that William STEVENS (1719-1781)may have married Jos LAHAUNE daughter or sister. It needs to be researched.
