William and John Stevens came to America in 1638. William settled in Newbury and married an Elizabeth. They had a son John born in 1650. A Mary Ingalls was born in 1659 in Andover, MA and recorded as marrying a John Stevens. After looking thru lots of Stevens families, this is the only one that fits. Thanks, Jean Kimball
