Two quick comments:
Frances Ward sent me some will records on Maria Chrysler, wife of Aaron Stevens of Ontario. It seems likely to me that this is the Aaron you mention in your message - might be worth checking it out if you haven't already done so. Since you do identify Aaron another way, you may already have his ancestry down pat, of course.
Elsewhere in this forum in a discussion of Wilson, N.Y., my notes indicate that Michelle quotes someone else who quotes the Souvenir History of Niagara County, N.Y. as stating that Adam Stephens migrated to Wilson, N.Y. in 1815.This seems to match family legends about him having to run for it during the War of 1812 (as supposedly did his son Joseph). The confiscation case for his land was in 1816.I don't see any indexed Stevens/Stephens in the 1810 census in the Wilson area. I'm still trying to find out what town Wilson was in at the time before checking the census images. In any case, if Bela left circa 1805, it seems unlikely that Adam went with him./ Tom
