My father was Gettis Delmore Stevely and his father was Delmore Stevely. My grandfather was buried in Ohio. He was married to Mettie Buckmaster. Mettie moved to Midland, Mi. when my father was very little. I have not heard the name Stevely, except in Ohio. My father said we were German and everyone I speak to about my last name tells me it is not German, but English. My father was born in Decatur,Ind. Wondering if somehow we can be related?
