Am seeking information on James Blain Sterling, born 12 Nov 1821 SC, d. 30 May 1845, Chester County, SC.
He was married to Emily Almira Grier/Greer, b. 1822,d. after 1880. They had one daughter, Lizzie Sterling.
I think James was the son of Samuel and Margaret Blain Sterling, but have no proof. I need his burial place, marriage date, and marriage place.
Some sources give the death date of Emily Grier Sterling as before 1880, but she was listed in the 1880 census, living in the household of her brother, James Grier (listed as James Frier) in Chester County, SC, along with her daughter.
Am also seeking the birth date of Lizzie Grier, as her tombstone listing does not give her birthdate. She and her mother are both buried in Bullock's Creek Cemetery, York, SC.
Emily Grier Sterling was the daughter of Betsy Hannah Thompson and Robert Greer/Grier. I am a Thompson descendant.
Any help appreciated.
