Our GWS married Amanda Rigdon in Lewis Co., KY. Found with her family there in 1870 census, and with her nephew's family in 1910. Records and family history say he was from VA, later WVA - supposed to have run away at 17 after knocking down his stepmother. Stephensons have been around Concord, Lewis Co., since early 1800s but no apparent connection to GWS. With George/Geo/GW/Washington/Wash Stephenson/Stevenson to check, several possibilities in 1850 VA census. Anyone know any more about him?
