Valentine STEPHENS, born 1813, married @ 1831, in Ross Co., Ohio, to Celinda WRIGHT. He remarried @ 1847 to Lucinda (Nickerson?). He lived in Ross Co., Ohio till @ 1840, then went to Greene Co., Ohio, Jasper Co., Ill., and to Vigo Co., Indiana., where he was living in 1880 infirm and blind. He is believed to be the son of Joseph STEPHENS of Luzerne Co., Pa. Has anyone else worked on this family? Oral legend says there was Indian blood in the family.
