I found a family tree which shows Babrel Barclay Stephens born Feb. 12, 1888 KY and died July 22, 1965
married Ida Elizabeth Watters about 1906
She was previously married Jan. 2, 1898 to James Wilbert REED
Ida was born Oct. 28, 1876 KY and died July 6, 1936
They show children as:
Ida's from 1st marriage:
Georgia Jane , Opal, Robert and Jewel
Gabrel Barclay and Ida's children:
Haywood, Mable, Bertha Marie, Noble B., Henry Caleb, and Ruby I.
As Gabrel said he had 7 children in 1917 it seems one must have died by 1920 as there are only 6 in the census with them in 1920. Those 6 match the names in the family tree.
I could not find the family in 1910 census - I tried under Stephens/Stevens and tried all first and middle names.
Another odd thing - I found two entries in Kentucky Death records for a C.H. Stephens born about 1908, died Dec. 10, 1989
One shows him as dying in TN but resident of McCreary KY. The other shows him dying in Whitley City, KY but resident of TN.
I tried to find Clarence Haywood in 1930 but again had no luck. Do you know if he was married by then and what his wife's name was? Did he have any children by then who I could try to find?
