I am trying to find descendants of William M. Stephens who was a Private in Company B, 16th North Carolina Infantry during the war between the states. He was born in 1839 and died 6/16/1915. He is buried in Maplewood Cemetery in Durham, North Carolina. He and 42 other Confederate soldiers in two sections of the cemetery will be receiving new headstones. There will be a dedication ceremony in May of 2009.
