Hi Billy, I believe the John A. I gave you from 1880 with wife Edny is son of Jeptha Sr. John A. had brother William D. living with him. These two names match the names you gave before of Jeptha's sons. As John A. is 29 in 1880 and his wife is 20 he could not be father of J.W. who was born 1853. John would only have been 2 years old . Wlliam D. also cannot be his father as he was born about 1849. As Jeptha Sr. had a lot of children you did not know of maybe there is another son of Jeptha we haven't found yet?? Could J.W. be his son?? I don't know why this family is so hard to find in 1860 and 1870. It would sure help to find them then and see who is who. I still think J.W. is either a lost son of Jeptha Sr. or perhaps a nephew of Jeptha which would make him a son of one of Jeptha's brothers. So I am going to try to find any Stephens at all in Walton area 1850, 1860 and 180 to see if we can match these folks up. Carolyn L Notify Administrator about this message?
