Sarah J. Stephens, daughter of Thomas Stephens, Jr., and Judith Hardin, married Isaac Dillard, b. 1807, on February 24, 1834, in Oglethorpe County, GA.They had two sons: James, born 1837, and Isaac Newton, born August 24, 1842.Isaac Newton Dillard was married April 18, 1861 to Patience Olive Collier, who was born December 25, 1841 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.Isaac Newton Dillard was murdered July 2, 1894 in Oglethorpe County, Georgia.
Isaac Dillard, b. 1807 in Elbert County, Georgia, was the son of James Dillard and Sarah Vernon.James was a private in the North Carolina Battalion, Continental Line, Brevard’s Company, who left service May 9, 1782.
