The Stephens Family of Bodmin, Cornwall 1850s onwards.
I am trying to trace the descendants of Samuel Stephens and Philippa Hawke who lived at Town End, Bodmin, Cornwall from 1855. They married in East Stonehouse, Plymouth in 1854. He was a potato and fish dealer, born in Egloshayle c1817. Their children included Mary, Samuel (who married Grace Sanders and had several children), Jane, William, Charles, Anne, John and Robert. The parents died at Bodmin towards the end of the 1800s. The only one of their still living in Bodmin at the time of the 1901 Census was John, who was then married to a Lillian Northcutt, with two children, John Harold and Lillian May. In view of the absence of the rest of the family, it is possible some or all emigrated from England, or moved to other parts of the UK. So far, I have been unable to trace them. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
