I have an interest in several of the names you mentioned in that Keziah Stephens (daughter of Daniel Stephens and Edith Murphree, and granddaughter of Joseph Stephens) married John W. Bynum (son of James Bynum and Susanna Childress, and grandson of Isaac Bynum).
Jesse G. Bynum was almost certainly the son of Jesse Bynum, a younger brother of Isaac Bynum and son of William Bynum.Jesse Bynum was likely born in Chatham County, North Carolina about 1772, probably the youngest in his family.Migrated with his siblings to Pendleton District, SC after 1794 but before 1797 where he appears in several records, thence via Tennessee to Jackson County along with his older brother Isaac. His wife was named Elizabeth in an 1804 release of dower, but his widow was named Sarah at his death in 1847.His probate records identify children named William, John William, Martha, Mary, Elizabeth, and a daughter whose name is unknown but who married Isaac Potter. Not named in these records, but identified as children by circumstantial evidence and family legend:Jesse G. Bynum and Keziah Mitchell.
