Hello:
My Arthur Richard Stell was born in Buffalo, New York and immigrated in 1874. He was the son of Isaac Stell & Hugenia/Hughena Ross(b.1846 in Ontario).
In 1881: Toronto: In the residence of George & Ann Goeay are Huphena Stell (34) (widow) and children: George B. Stell (14) and Arthur Stell (9).
In 1891: Arthur & George are living at the residence of George Goeay (widower)

You're right, who knows.... we may find a connection.
