Dennis Stell, b 1815 in GA was the son of John Wesley and Nancy Brown Stell. John W. was b 17 Sep 1776 in Newberry Co., SC and d 1855 in Cass Co., GA. John Wesley's brother, also Dennis Stell, b 1765 in Pendleton District, SC, and his wife, Sarah King Stell, b 1770 in Pendleton District, SC, were the parents of Judge Robert Stell, b 1792. A large group of the Stell family moved from Gwinnett Co., GA to Conway Co., AR in 1835. (Arkansas became a state in 1836)The area around what is now known as Hill Creek was once called the Georgia Settlement.
