Bonnie, I just got back from Springfield and while there visited Ferncliff. Christian Steinman is indeed buried there. The plot was bought by Mary Steinman and there is a Mary A. Creel (1862-1918) buried along side of Chris. Also checked the 1900 William's Springfield Directory and Chris is listed with Alice as his wife. Minnie A. Rust seemed to have used Alice rather than Minnie as her first name. All in all, I think that Christopher and Christian were the same person. Couldn't find a marriage record for Chris and Mary nor was there a death certificate for Chris (didn't think there would be) but I did find a death notice that offered no additional information. Judi
