I found my notes and it is Christian Steinman, not Christopher, who is buried in the Ferncliff Cemetery. Here's what they have on him. He is buried in Section H, Lot 449. He died March 30, 1909, of tuberculosis, at age 36 (no birthdate listed).
It seems likely that he is the same Chris listed in the city directories because the dates do coincide with his life and death. Interestingly, there is also a Fred listed in the city directory.
1906 - Steinmann Fred. res. 338 W. Main (note that this is the same address as Chris.)
1910 - Steinmann Fred. res. s.s. Children's Home Road east of Urbana Pike
You stated in an earlier posting that Christopher was the son of Frederick. I wonder if it's possible that this is the same person. It certainly possible that the cemetery has his name incorrect. Do you know who the parents of Frederick were? I'd be very interested in learning whether there is a connection to be found between these Steinmans and those that I've been researching in Springfield.
