I have just become aware of a connection with the Steens to my Forsythes. John Forsythe was born in Anniliton, Clonibret, Monoghan County, Ireland in 1788. He married an Alice whose last name may be Steen.
Do you have any info on the earlier generations fo your Steens?
Catherine Steen married a William McKibbin and she wrote back and forth to John Forsythe when her went to Australia in 1854. There seems to be a possiblily that she was his late wife's sister or Cousin.
The Forsythes, the Steens, and the McKibbins all went to Pakenham, Ont, in 1822.from Monaghan and Cavan counties, Ireland.
