1.James Steele m. Jane MacCrea and had a son and four daus
2.Rev. James Steele (1792-1859), from Tops, Raphoe; m.1 1821 Mary Ann Patton (1798-1833), dau of Thomas Patton of Castlefinn; m. 2 1837 Sarah, d. 1860, dau of Capt. Henderson.
3.Ann Jane Steele m. Rev. John Porter Dickey, son of the Rev. William Dickey and had five sons, one dau.One son was,
4.Robert Henry Frederick Dickey, 3rd son, b. 1856, Professor of MacCrea Magee College, Londonderry.
3.Rev. Henry Stewart Steele, b. 1828; m. Elizabeth Dill, dau of the Rev. John Dill of Carnmoney and granddau of the Rev. Samuel Dill and Hester Foster of Berwick Hall
4.James Steele married but no issue.
4.Hester Dill Steele, unm.
4.Elizabeth Steele, unm.
3.James Thomas Steele, (1830-1885) 2nd son; emigrated to New Zealand; married withe seven children.
3.William John Steele, (1831-1855), Fellow of St. Peter's College, Cambridge.
3.Joseph Zachaeus Cochrane Steele, b. 1839; emigrated to Wellington, N.Z. and had a son and dau.
3.Frederick Macaulay Steele, (1840- 1923); Manager of Ulster Bank, Strabane; m. 1.Annie Scott, d. 1884; m. 2 Margaret Dowie McVicker, dau of Sir Robert McVicker.
4.Annie died 1900, aged 17.
Carnone House, former Dickey family home, inheirted by Mr and Mrs Ralph Sheppard, she being a Dickey.
