I am a direct descendant of Rev. John Steele (Fighting Parson). He was born in Ireland, and came to the colonies in 1743 or 1744. I have a great deal of information on him, and also wills of his, his wife, and his son, Capt. John Steele, who fought in the Revolutionary War with the Virginia Militia even though he was from the Carlisle area. I have not heard the name Ephraim, but will go digging. You will need to remind me again if I don't get back to you.

Donna
