Hi Pat,Wish I could be of more help.Don't know too much about my g-grandmother's brother, Taylor.I do know his name was Fielding Taylor and that everyone knew him just as Taylor.I found him in the 1870 census of Rowan County, Ky. which is the next county.Bath, Menifee and Rowan all come together, so is very close to father Fielding.Mother didn't seem to know too much about him.I kind of feel that maybe there was some kind of rift in the family relations. My mother said her grandmother had 4 brothers but I have only found info on 2 of them from the census records.G-g-grandfather Fielding, served in the Civil War for the North. Mom said at least one of grandma's brothers served with the confederate but I have not been able to confirm that.In looking at deed records in Menifee Co. Fielding had deed made to Jonathan who then made deed to Sarah F.(my g-grandmother) and her sister Martha B.Then Martha made a deed to Sarah 1886.This was about 6 years before Fielding died in 1892.Don't really understand all of this.Down in Ky. it is hard to understand where these properties are located since they go by the nearby watercoarse in their description and the neighbors.Bad when they neighbor's property changes hands too. Fielding apparently had several properties both in Menifee and Bath Counties.I did not find any having any deed transferred to Taylor.Perhaps Taylor may have been the brother that served with the Conferates.I have really not tried to find anything on Taylor.Maybe the next time I go to the Greene County Library I will see if they have any census records on him.I am going to be out of town for the next 10 days so when I come back, will try to see if I can find anything.Betty
