Below is what I have on my Steel(e) line. The 3rd generation is assumed to be in PA with the 4th moving form PA to OH. Clyde Eugene Steele (5) was a West Point graduate and US Army colonel. He was my grandfather. Wayne Hobart Steele (5) was a minister and authored a book, The Religion of Beauty, published in 1940. The "e" was added to the surname sometime between the 4th and 5th generations. Most information on the first 3 generations was obtained from an excerpt from Thomas Steel's family bible posted online. Any connections to or information on anyone listed here would be much, much appreciated and, in turn, I hope this info can help someone else.
