Hi, Muriel -
I have been compiling a genealogy on the Brand Family. The Mary Ann Brand (b. c. 1849, probably in Brechin)who married William Henry Steedman was one of six children of James Brand and Mary (Eadie).
As an offshoot of my Brand work, I have also done a substantial amount of work on the subject Steedman line, and would like to compare notes with you. (e.g. Although there were five Steedman children who lived to maturity, married and had progeny, there was also a six child who lived less than two years.)
What is your connection back to William Henry?
