Leonard M. Steed b about 1862 was the oldest of five children of Newton Marbury Clarke Steed and Alpha Stroud.
In 1880 in Van Zandt County, Texas he married Mary Frances Scott, daughter of Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Scott.
Together they had 3 known children:
Walter Lee Steed b 1882 m Florence Taylor
Rosa E. Steed b 1886 m John Franklin Kidd
Alberta "Birdie" Steed b 1892 m Barton Winton Pirtle.
I am particularly interested in any information about the parents of Mary Frances Scott.
