Hi Laura,
The only info that I have on Elizabeth Stebbins and husband (Palatiah Scribner) is the date of marriage, 15 July 1830, and location, Morgan Co., ILL. Elizabeth's sister, Sarah, md.Elijah Thompson in Morgan Co., ILL. on 1 Nov
1829. Elijah owned land in Burton Township, Adams Co., ILL. in 1832.Elijah and two of his brothers went in a wagon train to Texas in 1833. The wagon train was lead by Goldsby Childers and was also known as Rev. Daniel
Parker's Wagon Train. Elijah returne to Adams Co., ILL. in 1834. His two brothers stayed in Texas. Both brothers
fought in the Texas War of Independence.
Although I can not point directly to where your kin went from Morgan Co., ILL in 1830, you might try Adams Co., ILL and/or Texas. I believe that the wagon train and potential immigrants were headed for a land development led by
Sterling Robertson in Texas.
