Looking for any information on Martial Clementine STEARNS, b. 20 Dec 1855 TX - d. 18 Jan 1944 Carrizozo, Lincoln Co., NM. Married 21 Jul 1879 TX (Tom Green Co. ?) to John Hopkins Phillips, b. 22 Jan 1848 Walker Co., GA -- d. 27 Jan 1926, Lincoln Co., NM. They lived in Tom Green Co., TX until the spring of 1886 when they left by covered wagon to live in New Mexico.
Three sons were born to this couple:
1) Walter Phillips, b. Mar 1880 Tom Green Co., TX -- d. 1895 Lincoln Co., NM.
2) Roy Phillips, b. 1883 Tom Green Co., TX -- d. 1895 Lincoln Co., NM
3) Peter Rogers Phillips, b. 31 Jan 1885 Tom Green Co., TX -- d. 28 Dec 1941 Lincoln Co., NM.
Census records tell us her father was born in TN -- mother born in AL. Who were her parents? Who were her siblings?
