I am looking for information on the ancestors of my grandfather, Leland Robert Stearns. He was born June 30 1917 and died March 1 1968. He served in the US Navy during WWII.
I have roughly traced our ancestors as follows:
Me
Leland M Stearns
Leland Robert Stearns
Leon Glen Stearns (married Della Mae Peterson)
I think Leon's father was Leonard Aries Stearns, who fought in the Civil War and was a physician, but I am not certain. Any help would be much appreciated.
