11 July 1817 Rutherford County Deed Bk 30 Pg 294 :John Steedman (Studman) of Spartanburg District SC transferred 150 acres to Thomas Steedman of RCNC on Henson's Creek of Broad River - 100 was formerly John Dennard's and 50 was formerly James Hendrix land. Was there a connection with the Dennard family?
