The St. Cyrs in Quebec were originally named Rouillard. Jacques Rouillare, son of Mathieu Rouillard, took the dit name of St. Cyr, presumably to avoid confusion with his brothers in the army. I have his children abd his son, Louis-Joseph's children. Louis-Joseph left Quebec and went to Louisoams where he married and became the ancestor of the Louisiana St. Cyrs.

You can get information on the St. Cyrs in Quebec (and anyone else in Quebec) from the Programme de Recherche en demographie Historique (www.genealogy.umontreal.ca) There is a small charge (about $1.50 per hit if I remember correctly), but they have a wealth of information.

Good luck. Let me know if I can be of further help.
