My great-grandfather, David St. Clair, was born in Kansas City on July 18, 1890.I don't know the names of his parents so I don't know his relation to anyone on the 1889 directory listing.I'm not positive, but I believe that his father moved to K.C. from Canada. His mother was a black woman, possibly an ex-slave.I also don't know if he had any siblings. He married Helen Stewart in the 1910's and had a daughter, Erma Lee, who married Duward Crooms. They also had two sons, David II and Joseph. The three children were born in Liberty, MO between 1920 and 1925 and were raised in Liberty and in Omaha, NE.Most of the children and grandchildren of these three now live in Los Angeles, Seattle, and St. Louis.I am the grandson of David II, who died in 1989.If anyone knows if David St. Clair, Sr. is related to anyone on the 1889 KC directory listing or if you are related to one of them or to us, please post it and let the rest of the St. Clair family and myself know.
David St. Clair IV
