I have no connective information but I have been investigating Dr. David St Clair b abt 1793 in Pennsylvania who is in the 1850 Sonoma census. His oldest son in that census is James born 1836 in Indiana. James St Clair b. 9 June 1836 in La Port Indiana lived in Portland and vicinity, and is buried in Portland's RiverView Cemetery in the family plot owned by A.H.Johnson and his wife Cordelia St. Clair. An affidavit submitted to the Oregon Territorial legislature in support of legislation formalizing her marriage to A.H. in 1856 states that her first husband who she married in Nov. 1848 in Sutters Fort California ' dumped her at her fathers house in Sonoma'. Her recorded birth date is 23 Oct 1835 (this is only 8 months before James' birth and would make her only 13yrs 1mo when her first marriage occurred. it is more likely she was born earlier). She was born in St Jo Missouri. A Rev. Dr. David St Clair was preforming marriages in La Port Co Indiana in the years 1832-1834. A David St Clairalso purchased land in La Port Co around that time. A David St Clair purchased land in Illinois shortly thereafter. A. H. and Cordelia had a son named William Street Johnson (my great grandfather).
All these overlaps suggest a likely relationship with Mary St Clair. Perhaps you have some additional information that could help prove/disprove? Anything would be helpfulgraydon miller
