HANNIBAL - Darrell Wayne St.Clair, 58, of Clarence and formerly of New London, died at 3:50 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at the Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Smith Funeral Home & Chapel in Hannibal. Burial with full military rites conducted by Emmette J. Shields American Legion Post No. 55 will be at Barkley Cemetery in New London.
Wayne was born Dec. 31, 1949, in New London to Willard Kennedy and Bertha Gay Wilkerson St.Clair.
Survivors include son, Kenny (Amy) St.Clair of Monroe City, one daughter of Monroe City; two stepdaughters, Melissa (Nokes) Sandner of Macon and Michelle Nokes of Clarence; one stepson, Morris Nokes, of Callao; 19 grandchildren; three sisters, Debbie St. Clair, Sandra (Gary) Reed and Anna Mae St.Clair, all of New London; two brothers, Robert (Margaret) St.Clair of New London and Woody (Wilma) St.Clair of Hannibal. Several nieces and nephews survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Don St.Clair.
Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Vietnam. He was a former member of Clarence VFW Post No. 8177. He formerly worked at Atlantic Building in Hannibal and later for M.F.A. Grain Elevator in Clarence. He was a member of the Mark Twain Emergency Squad for several years. Wayne's life revolved around his horses.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Pallbearers will be Danny Wood, Dennis Thrasher, Walt Daniels, Ron Jacobs, John Henry Miller and Jake Huddleston.
