I am trying to find the parents of LYDIA STAUFFER/STOUFFER. She had at least three brothers, JOHN M., HENRY and JESSE. Lydia was born in 1812 (possibly York or Lancaster Co.? ) She was married (1829) to Henry Kohr and lived in East Manchester Twp. She died 21 Sep. 1896. They had six children.
Lydia’s brother, JOHN M. (b. abt. 1819) lived in North Codorus Township and married Anna Maria/Mary Oakes/Ochs (b. ~1819) (no children). John died 24 May 1879 and is supposedly buried at Lischey's Church Cemetery. (Lydia, Henry and Jesse were listed in John’s will).
Brother Henry may possibly be the Henry Stouffer (b. abt. 1810) who lived in Paradise, Jackson and Heidelberg Twps. and died in 1904, buried 1904 Holtzschwamm Cemetery, Paradise Twp. Henry was married with at least five children.
There is a Jesse Stauffer in the 1850 PA Census (not married) in Forks, Northampton, PA (b. about 1826). He possibly moved to Mt. Joy, Lancaster Co. by the 1860 census, married with two children.
